You may remember previous mention of a groundbreaking fibroid registry called COMPARE-UF.
Well, today is LAUNCH DAY! We launch as we begin National Women’s Health Week.
As a member of this research effort we are pleased to embark on this patient-centered analysis of current treatment options. And, don’t worry, we are only collecting information!
The Fibroid Foundation is the only patient advocacy organization that sits on the Registry Steering Committee for COMPARE. Duke University is the lead clinical site accompanied by 9 major medical centers across the country.
We are here to represent you, the patient, and to ensure that research efforts are sensitive to your needs. The COMPARE research will analyze information provided by women ages 18 and up who still experience menstrual cycles. Our goal is to delve into the patient perspective on current treatment options.
The Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) funded this patient-centered grant.
Registration is simple and the study is non-invasive. Please visit the COMPARE-UF website to find an enrollment site near you.
As always, we would love to hear your feedback.
“Ever up and onward.”
