Since fibroids and endometriosis are often discussed in tandem, I wanted to be able to provide a sound resource for women who may reach out to The Fibroid Initiative regarding endometriosis.

Recently, I had the wonderful opportunity to speak with Mary Lou Ballweg, a founder of the Endometriosis Association  in Milwaukee.  Mary Lou was recommended to me by a prominent physician at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.  Mary Lou has dedicated 30 years to education and resources regarding endometriosis.

Fibroids and endometriosis, have very different symptoms, and need to be addressed independently.  I was touched by Mary Lou’s dedication to the endometriosis community.  She is an incredible source of information.

Like fibroids, many of us know someone who has endometriosis.  I encourage you to consider the Endometriosis Association  as a resource.
